got another robocall from 406-936-5472 caller ID said "MONTANA" on Monday 03-24-14 @ 427 PM.
Previous call from these scumbags on this number was on Saturday 03-22-14 @ 1152 AM above.
8th call from this number since March 12th.
Message was from Rachel with "Card member Services" (instead of Kelly with "Consumer Law" as indicated above) to lower my Interest. There is nothing wrong with my account.....................consider this your final notice (liars) .....press 1.
So I did and got "dead air"
Well, just one more number to add to the collections. I do NOT answer these calls. All this one said was Montana. I suspect that it too is another scam artist trying to ply his wares. BEWARE ! I, like the rest of you, receive these calls all the time. Our government is WORTHLESS, especially when it comes to blocking these calls. The only other course of action is this:
Do NOT, under any circumstances, answer a caller you do not recognize. When you do all you are doing is confirming for them that they have reached a viable, working number and then they WILL call you back AND sell your number to other scam artists so they can call you too. If they continue to call then first, check with your phone service and see if they have a call blocker service (mine does). If I continue to receive calls from a certain number then it goes onto my "Blocked" list.
Also, just pressing 1 or any number they say to remove you from their list is also a scam. It doesn't work either. Also, I turn off my answering machine when I am home. If it answer then once again it only confirms the fact that they have indeed reached a "Working" number. Have a pleasant day. Sure am glad too for websites like this.
got robocall on from 406-936-5472 caller ID said "MONTANA" on Wednesday 03-12-14 @ 429 PM.
The message started "This is Kelly with CONSUMER LAW.........credit card interest.........press 1."
I Pressed 1 and the call switched and started to ring like you were calling them.
Counted 25 rings and decided to press the pound, star and zero buttons on the phone.
The rings stopped and the call finally disconnected.
