This is a 'new' number being used by the telemarketer group selling/giving away GE home security alarms. Calling back gives you an opt-out... from what others have said on this site about other numbers used by this telemarkete), the calls increase after opting-out.
It appears that the FCC can/will not shut these people down. The best thing that I've found is to block the number. That takes care of it... until they change numbers.
I just got a phone call from 406-948-8852, and didn't answer because it is an unknown number to me. And thanks to this website, I found out FOR FREE it is a solicitor that has no business calling me in the first place (other websites merely suggested it was a Montana number, and wanted money for more info). I receaved a call today from this number by the telemarketer people. I told him he called a business and I have a GREAT Deal on cases of ANAL CREAM and ask him for his shipping info! Lucky me he didn't want to talk anymore. :) :)
