They give a recording stating that they are credit services, warning that your card is fine, but offering to lower your rate, to speak to a customer service rep press 9.
This is a scam, was hung up on when I told them I am on the no call list and to remove my number. They then spam called me for 20 minutes from this an two other numbers. Also spoofed (there is no such thing as a 000 exchange).
I noticed a call from these guys a week ago (they left no message). So, I picked up when they called me today. I pressed "9" because that was the only option available (no number to be removed from the calling list).
An older sounding African-American gentleman picked up the phone and said "I understand you pressed 9 because you're interested in lowering your Visa/Mastercard interest rates?" and I said, "Actually, I pressed 9 because I want to be removed from your calling list and there was no other option."
His response? "Well, good for you." and he hangs up on me.
I got the same call. Called three times in one day. I finally picked up and after I pressed 9, some guy with an accent picked up. He asked if I was calling to make a payment. I told him I didn't know who he was, and he immediately hung up on me. WHAT?? How do I report these guys, and does it make a difference?
So sick and tired of these calls. If you pick up you get a message about "your credit card account with them". If you don't pick up they leave no message. How do we stop them? Sounds like just a small anoyance but my husband is sick and I am standing by the phone at all times. By the time my heart stops pounding I am drained. Is this even a company????
