It was a recorded message about lowering interest on a credit card... when I pressed 9 to speak with an agent, I told him that I wanted to be removed from the calling list and he just hung up on me. This has happed 4 times in the past. Next time they call, I'm going to ask if they are a reputable company and try and get the name out of him.
They give a recording stating that they are credit services, warning that your card is fine, but offering to lower your rate, to speak to a customer service rep press 9.
This is a scam, was hung up on when I told them I am on the no call list and to remove my number. They then spam called me for 20 minutes from this an two other numbers. Also spoofed (there is no such thing as a 000 exchange).
You should never press "9" or any number on a call you do not who is calling. Why would you even pick up the call? We have caller ID and voice mail. Let those things do the work for you. You lost a minute or two of your time, patient and probably your service. When I get calls and I do not know who is calling, I hit the button that will send it to v-mail. If they do not leave a message, they were not calling me.
I get these call and all of my phones are on the "do not call" list.
