Another one of those annoying calls to see if you are home so they can call later to try and sell you something.
Caller ID starts with a V; have never known a person to actually be on the other end of the line with these type of calls.. A comment from another site said this; "they are trying to sell mortgage policies and refi's".
My advise is to never answer these calls (a waste of your time anyway); if everyone did the same eventually they would realize that their system isn't working and stop these kind of calls.
When I answered, there was a click, then a woman's voice (obviously recorded) asked me how I was doing today. I replied, "You are not a real person." Then the recorded woman took a sec, laughed, and said, "No I am a real person, why do you ask that?" Again, I said, "You're not a real person." After a brief pause, the recorded woman said, "No" and hung up.
When Caller ID showed, "Processing," I turned the answering machine on. Whoever called held on for a while, obviously waiting for human to answer. They called earlier today, and I turned the answering machine one then, too. They called at 6:00, thinking no one was home earlier & probably at work.
Got the same call. A woman (robotic) named Linda asked how I was doing today. When I didn't respond, she said, "Is anyone there?" Then the call disconnected. I also do not believe it was a real person.
