It's a debt collector and you may or may not owe a debt; they don't care. They hope to scare you into paying money. Follow the advice of the FTC.

Read CWG40's post above. CW does an excellent job of getting info out there.
They claim that i owe a nill yo spriny, in a name that i javent ised in obet twenty years, and in a state that i have mevet owned a jome phone in. Scam all the way, amd tjey tjreatened me woth court. I saod good luck with your tjerie.
This is the number that came up on my caller ID with a pre-recorded message telling me to call an 888 number with a file number that couldn't be found. When I asked the gentleman to identify his company or himself he went on a horrible tirade belittling, threatening and ridiculing me.
I sincerely hope that you are not the owner of a company that would operate outside of normal, legal business practices and allow employees to treat people in such a manner. If this has nothing to do with your company I would strongly suggest to find out who is piggybacking off of your number to run this creditor scam and pursue legal action against them.
I've submitted a complaint with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and after finding this site I'll be adding this URL to the information I've submitted to them for further review.
I feel awful that some people wouldn't know better and would actually give these people their information. I also feel awful that people have to deal with phone calls from such horrible people or deal with the call backs from upset people being called by this scam agency.
I sincerely hope it's not your business and you can get your number back to normal.
Complete scam. I called back twice inside of 10 minutes. The first time a lady answered and said they were a law firm. The second time I called a guy answered and claimed to be providian bank. Each time they had different amounts. I asked him to clarify his company name and he said "our company name is see you in court!" and hung up. Real debt collectors don't use scare tactics or get attitudes.
