"Hi" (in a voice that sounds pre-recorded)
"My name is Josh from the customer service department" (doesn't mention WHICH customer service department)
"Can you hear me ok" (non-threatening question to get victim to answer and trigger the system to continue)
"You have been pre-selected---" (I hung up immediately)
Don't know what they were selling and don't care. I blocked the caller.
got several calls from this number in march 2016 at usually same time each day, cellular phone says : unknown caller. I did not answer... must be a robo caller...
Same as described by Erin, except I let it run a little longer and I didn't immediately think "pre-recorded". Script turned toward a free vacation and trying to establish that I indeed have a current credit card. I expect that capturing the number was next.
As long as you respond, even with something nonsensical, it keeps going. Fail to respond twice, the program branches to a hasty apology and disconnects.
