The same thing happened to me today. I assumed it was my brother they were holding. They wanted me to send them money or they would kill him. Terrible experience.
This caller is a SCAM....says loved one in accident...pistol whipped....holding them and will kill if money not paid.....DO NOT LISTEN THIS MUCH....ONCE you hear that a loved one is hurt, HANG UP THE PHONE OR REPLY WITH CALLING THE POLICE<<<<<<<<< If you continue to listen, the caller wants your money so bad, he will embellish the lie to make you scared. In Orlando. Scam... Called me... they said some one was in accident and the last number he had called was mine. When I asked more pointed questions (What his name ?... what car ?) they hang up !!!
I just received a call today from this number and they told me one of my family members was in a car crash, luckily someone informed me about this going on and I told the guy to go [***] himself instead of trying to steal my money.
