Said they could get me a lower interest rate on my credit cards by negoiating with the credit card companies with me on the phone with them. They took my credit card numbers to the cards I had and were going to charge one of my cards a fee of $795.00 to get the lower rate and also stated that I would not be charged the $795.00 if they could not get my rate lowered to save me at least $1800.00 a year on my cards. Then when the lady came on she said instead that she was going to apply for me a card with a rate of 7.24% and pay off all the credit cards so that I would only have one payment to make a month. I beleive I have been scammed. Olease help me...They said the charge would be listed as ECS Century Stone Financial. and gave me a confirmation number which I have if you need it to help me.
Call your credit card company immediately and tell them you have been scammed and cancel the card. They usually have an emergency number on the back of the card or in the pamphlet you got with the card.
Well I got a call from that number as well and they saved me almost 5,000 in just the first 12 months! I mean its more of a service than anything else, but when we go to court we rather go get a lawyer then represent our selves! So i believe that sue, you should call them and try to work it out with them. I mean, they seemed nice!
I also received a call from this#. I was very skeptical at first and thought it was too good to be true. I had a 12.99% with Bank of America and thought I would be stuck at that rate or worse. I had a balance of $7700.
After speaking with my financial advisor, I was also advised on a new account to eliminate the debt. I was unsure about that so I opted to work directly with my lender. We did both call the bank together and after my advisor spoke to the rep and went over my payment history; BOA offered me a 10.9% and we took it. That saved me quite a bit of $$ to say the least.
After some thought, I considered the new account which offered 7.24%.
I AM SOOOO Glad I did this because I was able to move the $7700 this balance to 0% for 6 months, NO FEE and then 7.24% on the remaining balance! This move SAVED ME $4,033.30.
This so called "scammer" company that has a web-site, are always at their business phones, very professional and courteous and did nothing but help my husband and myself save A LOT of MONEY!
