I received a call from someone claiming to be from the American Power Association. He stated that the company had been hired by the Federal Government to contact home owners and help them to take advantage of Federal funds, available to help reduce energy costs. I noted that the caller ID listed the call as being from Fasano Olga at 407-460-8533. When I asked the caller about the caller ID not representing the name of the company, he stated that the number is computer generated and he had no control over it. He then proceeded to read out my address to me and ask me if I was familiar with the Federal program. When he stated that the program was for homeowners with bills higher than $100, I told him I did not qualify and they told him goodbye. I have done a search and here is no such company as American Power Association. Please beware of anyone claiming to be from this nonexistent company and do not provide them with any information.
5/24/2010 I got a similar call from the same number 407-460-8533. I ask them if they have a website I can research or read about their company and they said NO. They wanted to send someone to my home to go over some energy saving program. I asked if this was for A/C or Appliances , but they did not want to give information on the phone.
