I picked up the phone and the lady at the other end said:
"Oh, hi, I didn't think anyone was there. (then a slight pause) This is Emily. I'm calling because you stayed in one of our resorts in the past and I'd like to offer you a trip to the Bahamas..."
I asked what company she was with and the voice kept going. I asked again and no response, so this is obviously a robocall.
I pressed 1, then 0, then 9, then pound to be connected with an operator and nothing happened. The voice kept going on about how she just had to ask me a few more questions *then* she would connect me with an operator. I hung up instead of waiting.
They called my cell phone, which is on the FTC and State of FL Do Not Call List, but obviously this means nothing to them.
I've been called by this number multiples times with the same story about her headset not working in the beginning. I decided to play along and one of the first questions they asked was if you're 18 or older and I said no just to see what would happen and they hung up instantly. Kind of scary. What if it is some sort of lure to sex trafficking?
