I made the mistake of responding to a come on, to work from home.  So one day I got this call.  I was upset because I had dropped a C, for a product that had never been delivered, from the so called 'university of profit.'  I read this guy the act, until I realized he was not their rep at all.  I was skeptical, since this had been the only contact I had made.  The 'guy' got very flip, so I hung up on him.  From that point on, I began to get a real batch of calls from many different numbers, in different places, to do work from home.  Evidently what had happened, was that this 'guy', had retaliated, passing me to these numerous lists.  So now I am busy most of the time screening before I answer.  Now several months in, I get less than the five to ten a day, down to maybe, five per week.  Comes and goes.  The short is, I got caught in the sucker-catcher.  So I will likely close this phone out, and start with a new number.  Better luck, everybody.  Beware of the sucker catcher!

Too good to be true
Call was from 2freenites.com. First person offered vacation packages to either Orlando & Daytona or Vegas & Napa along with week at an all-inclusive in Cancan. What's the catch I ask.... had to attend a 90 minute presentation. She then turned the call to second person for the hard sell. Talked over me defensively as I was asking more detailed questions such as add'l fees, commitment, is this a timeshare, how did you get my #, who are you affiliated with, how do you get the free rooms, etc. Just a $298 upfront fee was needed but I could cancel within 30 days for full refund. I asked whether they could email the information first and he continued to explain why it wasn't a scam. "Why would I scam you on a Saturday afternoon and risk my family". He strong pitches more reductions down to $98 and threw in a 7 day cruise out of Baltimore. I said I would need to review with my spouse before providing credit card info and could I call him back. His response was along the lines of "you are making too many excuses and aren't one that we would want for our offers" and hung up on me.

Consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or so. If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number. For tracfone & straight talk:
