after looking further into it I remember now it was a company called realty trade specializing in condo and timeshare re-sale/listing ripoffs, other timeshare sales sites say "RUN DON'T WALK AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY"
They get your money up-front and lie about having buyers waiting, promise more than it is worth, the same old crap like the others. Never offer money up-front. I will plug a site, TUG (timeshare users group,) $15 to join, free ads etc, I haven't sold mine yet but $15 is a lot better than $995 !!!!
I received a call on my phone but I did not answer it. I do have a timeshare in my name so I bet this is the same timeshare reseller. I will continue to not answer this number now that I know this.
I really enjoy reading how so called professionals in the time share industry tell everyone who has a time share to not pay up front fees! Well considering people such as myself who is a real-estate broker will not handle time share resales ( there just is no money in it for me or us in the real-estate business)how is it that people are to move their time share? Since some have the answer of what not to do how about telling everyone what they can do to sell it! I say this... I get calls all the time in my office about selling time share and I have no choice but to turn then away! The fact of the matter is that if you can find a company that in writing says that they will give you a full refund if not sold by them within a certain time period then go with them! STAY AWAY FROM ANYONE THAT ATTEMPTS TO TELL YOU THAT THEY WANT A FEE FOR AN APPRAISAL. Time share properties don't need one! So to the person that says Never give money up front you shouldn't sell nothing through a newpaper ad either ... you are required to pay up front no matter what the outcome and you have no money back. So looks like from what this person says we are all getting ripped off from even the newspaper ads!
