Rang once and hung up. Called back, was told a reward card purchase had qualified us to win $100.00... And all we had to do was pay for processing. We hung up. Definitely a scam.
Just a few minutes ago at 5:48pm, the number showed up on my cell then went away just as quickly. Phone didn't even have a chance to ring. They hung up. Thanks for all the reports.
Nope, not Mickey or even Minnie. It's Scammers-R-Us, hoping to get a sucker to call us back.
See, what we do is have our robots call your number, ring once, and hang up. That saves us the cost of a call from India or Pakistan to whatever country in the world you are in. (See, the caller ID info is fake! We're not where or who we say we are.)
Then we sit back and go "I hope, I hope, I hope." Meaning we hope a phish will be so curious they will call us back and we'll then have a live number we can use for All The Other Scammers We Work With.
Claimed I had visited their website. Therefore I would receive $100 ...then I hung up because I've heard this before. They want money up front. A scam. Hope someone can shut 'em and others alike down. Especially annoying to receive this unwanted stuff on my cell phone.
