407-568-6546 called May 30. 2017 at 4:52 pm. No message. Caller ID = OUT OF AREA. However my number is 407-568-xxxx. This is a spoofed number to look very close to my phone number, which is rural country. No neighbor out here is likely to tele-market from this location. This is an increasing tread recently for spammers to spoof numbers that appear local, thinking we would easily block long distance, but answer local calls.
Looking forward to Ajit Pai, the Chairman of the FCC, to enforcing Robocall Strike Force in 2017! Scammers using Robocalling are #1 complaint to FCC, who call at a rate of 2.4 billion calls per month. FCC recently shut down one Robocaller who was stealing money from victims at $500,000 per day! Another robocaller that FCC recently shut down was making 12-15 million calls PER DAY!
