The do not call list is a joke. It doesn't do a damn thing for anyone except give scammers and telemarketers a central place to get phone numbers of people to harass and [***].
I just got a call from this number, but I didn't answer since I didn't recognize the number. I think: If a call is important enough, then the caller can leave a message! I am on the DNC list and I'm logging telemarketers. I'm sick and tired of those who feel they can ignore the DNC list. This is a typical "work from home" venture. The caller, usually a low income or unemployed worker gets paid for every call they make which results in a connection, whether they speak to you or not. They are like poison ivy, no matter what you do they continue to thrive. The best response is no response if you do not recognize the area code and phone number.
Yeah, if you've got a Hilton Rewards card they apparently get to ignore the DNC list because you've got a business relationship. All you can do is ask them to stop or end your business relationship with them.
