Financial Asset Resolution - trying to re-date a *very* old debt. They want almost $2k for a $100 cable bill from my mid-20s "but will settle with me for $600". Ha!! They also mailed me a letter fraudulently stating I had a conversation with them on 03/17 about resolving said cable bill from the 2000s. I was at a dealership all day buying a car on 03/17 - they are trying to get me to make contact with them to dispute that conversation in order for them to re-date the debt. Do not answer, and if they send you a similar letter, report them for FDCPA violations.
