Unknown male caller wanting information about listed homeowner. Claimed to have work adress of owner, but unable to figure out the work number of same with that information. When questioned, became insulting and rude. Caller was hung up on. When the number listed on the caller I.D. (407-863-0527)was called, the line did not ring and a pre-recorded female voice was heard saying "Goodbye".
407-836-0527 is the trunk line for all outgoing calls from the Orange County Courthouse phone system. This number shows up on your caller ID, but you can not call the number back. If the caller did not leave a number for you to call them back, try calling 407-836-2400. That's the main number to the Orange Co. State Attorney's Office. If you were a victim or witness to a criminal case, you can give them your name and they can pull up your case number and find out to which assistant state attorney to direct you. Hope that helps.
My daughters friend got a call from this number requesting info about my daughter. The caller refused to identify themselves and kept digging for info. When I called the number listed here, the lady advised me that that is a number used by county employees and that the caller should have identified themselves when asked. Beware.....
I received a phone call from this number, and it was from someone involved with Orange County government. I had filed a complaint with the county's department of consumer affairs, against a business called Maid Pro in Altamonte Springs (phone number 407-767-5758) who trespassed on my property and left solicitations on my door despite the numerous signs I have demanding no soliciting, no flyers, and no doorspam on my property. So in my case, the person calling had a legitimate reason to contact me (unlike Maid Pro).
When someone calls you from the Orange Co. Courthouse, the caller ID number is a bogus nuber with teh 836 prefix. It is not that person's number and you cannot reach anyone if you call that number back. So, if you get a call from (407)836-XXXX, it's probably coming from the courthouse... you just won't be able to figure out where exactly (jury duty, state atty, pd, judge's chambers, staff) unless the person leaves a message. When asked for more information about the caller, the man became insulting and rude. Caller was hung up on. When I tried to call the number back, the line did not ring, only a pre-recorded female voice saying "Goodbye" was heard.
