I did the same stupid thing by answering a survey from a good looking Home Depot girl, wish I didn't, why does Home Depot allow this kind of harassment
This is a marketing call from RainSoft water purification systems. More than likely they got your number from Home Depot. They misrepresent themselves as "Home Services" to mimic Home Depot Home Services. RainSoft attempts to set up in-home water testing that can take up to two hours to complete. It's very difficult (or impossible) to get a hold of them to reschedule or cancel. Be sure to get a service number if scheduled. To cancel an appointment, you can reach their manufacturer at 1-800-724-6763 and they can give you the number to the local contractor that performs the tests. If you are in the Orlando area, the contractor is Florida Energy Water & Air (Altamonte) at 1-800-382-7638.
Went to Home Depot yesterday. I was stopped by a woman wearing a Home Depot shirt and agreed to answer some survey questions. Most were about my water supply (did I have a well or city water, etc. etc.). Should not have agreed, but it was near Christmas and I knew she was just doing her job. Stupid me. I don't usually agree to surveys, but let my guard down this time.
Well, I'll just have to pay the consequences for my stupidity. Another phone call to ignore or block. If someone shows up without an invitation, I do own the Judge. That may seem extreme, but I do have a No Trespassing sign at the end of a hundred foot driveway. Don't come to my home unless I know you or you have the authority to do so. I never used to feel this way, but the world has changed and it is not for the good.
For all who are tired of intrusions on your time and privacy, keep the faith and have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
