Question. How did you know it was a "Home Depot associate"? Were they wearing the HD uniform and have a name tag? Did they simply ask you questions and then write them down or did you fill out a form and sign it? If it was the latter, did you read the small print? What is the name of this company that is calling you?
Yes this guy was wearing a Home Depot uniform and a Home Depot name tag but I simply cant remember his name...I called a store supervisor and he said he knew who this guy was and said that he should have never given my number out if I requested him not to do so.

To answer your other questions, Yes the guy said he was a Home Depot Associate and wanted to ask me a couple of questions about my water quality, He filled out this form on his clip board which were questions pertaining to the quality of my home drinking water... Afterwards he said since I had completed his survey I would be eligible for a $20 Home Depot Gift Card If I simply filled in my name, email address and phone number... I wrote in (not signed) my name to his survey sheet (Which had no obvious fine print at the bottom) I then asked this Home Depot associate not to(under any circumstances) give out my name, number or email address out to anyone in which he assured me would never happen because all information that Home Depot collects is kept 100% confidential.
Thanks, I just wanted to be sure it was an actual HD employee since we seem to get a lot of reports here exactly like yours. It is not something that is an isolated incident at one HD, but occurs over many. If there was no obvious fine print at the bottom (a lot of the time they hide it on the back), then you didn't give express consent for them to call you. I would certainly file reports with both the DNC list and your State Attorney General's Office. I would also send a certified, return receipt letter to that HD telling that that if you get any more harassing calls from their vendors that you will be suing them. Also report it to the BBB so that it goes onto their record that they are doing this.
