Scam - Promises to upgrade AT&T fiber service from 25/5 to 25/25 for $20 more per month. Just needs to verify EIN to setup an appointment. Red flag #1...Has access to your bill and knows what service you have and what you are paying and your service address exactly to the tee. Said I shouldn't be paying any taxes on current asymmetrical fiber service and definitely will not pay any taxes on new symmetrical fiber service. Red flag #2. She called from 407-903-0676 number but her return number is 407-802-3822 and her name is Jessica Centeno and when the phone answers it is a computer generated voice claiming to be AT&T but I have always heard a real human voice on any hold line for AT&T. Red Flag #3. Then she said she has to go because she only have 15 mins left for her lunch break and she has to be back on the phone at 1:00pm and since she burned up the first 45 mins of her lunch break talking to me. When I asked her about it she said they are really strict and can only be on lunch during a certain hour. Red flag #4. She also said she would call me back in 30 mins to verify that she has changed the due date on the bill...and of course no call back. Red flag #5. DON'T PICK UP FROM THIS NUMBER!!
I keep getting messages marked urgent from this number to my business. He gives my AT&T internet account number and say he needs to talk to me about my current installation of internet service. I have called AT&T directly in the past and asked them why were they calling me and asked if there was a problem. Of course, their answer was that they had not called me and they did not detect any problem with my service. This is a scam call from someone in FL named Robert who leaves a Verizon assigned business number, (407) 512-1340, to call him back on directly. I am not calling him and I will never verify to him that he has any correct info related to my account.
