I got a call on my cell phone from these bozos yesterday. It was a recording telling me I had one a trip somewhere. Press 1 to find out more or press 2 to be removed from their list. I pressed 2 in the naive hopes of being removed from their stupid list. I hate these people.
I agree. For what its worth, I added the following to my "Call Rejection Messages" :
We are registered with DoNotCall.Gov
Please remove us from your database.
Thank you.
I've used it countless times and typically they do not call back. If its a landline, of course, they won't get the TXT but their call will be disconnected the minute I press the Call Rejection option. I have a Galaxy S4
The 2nd thing I am doing is once I am certain its a BOGUS call, I include that number in the ADD TO REJECT LIST. Not sure how it works, but if they do try calling again I never hear the phone ring. Its automatically rejected.
Also, if you have given your phone number to any place from your local grocery store (say for gas/savings rewards) to something you registered online, sometimes they have "affiliates" that you agree to be contacted by...usually in the fine print.
