Robocall with a fraudulent "you have won a free vacation" pitch. The 407 area code is in the Orlando, FL area, which is probably being used to give some people the impression that Disney is involved - which they are NOT. I suspect that the number is spoofed in any event, but if it's genuine, then it's no less suspicious since Florida is the land of the blatant scam - and has been so for well over a century. (That's just one part of the reason that I moved OUT of Florida as soon as I had the opportunity.) Unless you know someone in central Florida, or might get a legitimate business call from there, blocking the entire 407 area code makes a lot of sense. (Ditto for 305, which is Miami.)
This phone number called my corporate cell, when I answered there wasn't anyone there, left a voicemail, but the voicemail said nothing. but the call back number was a 330 area code, very bizarre.
This number called my business phone at about 3:55 CST 3/13/13 and left a voicemail saying "Need to be removed from this list? Your claim number is 635". I have no connection to Florida, but have been getting 1-2 robocalls a week from other -407 numbers trying to tell me I won a free vacation. This started about 2 months ago.
I have been reporting each call to the FCC (this is a violation of the do not call list, and some other rules), but I doubt they will be able to do anything since the number is likely spoofed.
I'm not sure whether or not to act or respond asking to be removed, since I'm concerned that it will just increase the frequency of calls.
I received a "missed call" on my cell phone from this number at 4:43 p.m. on 3/13/13, looked it up on the internet and found this report regarding robocalls. I tried to call the number back but the line was busy (probably making more fraudulent calls). I have no ties to Florida.
