A rep from this company called my cell phone telling me that she was told by...(I don't know the name) to get me on the line because they have a complaint that has been filed against my social. OH Boy! Here we go again. I hung up but my curiosity got the better of me and I called back. The automated message does not give you the name of the firm, it tells you to wait. When someone got on the line, they called me by my former last name and I asked who they were and I got a response AGA. I would not confirm my information so the young lady said, 'well I guess we will keep calling you' and hung up. I called back and decided to play their little game, I told them I used to be who they are looking for but would not verify the last four of my social. Instead I kept asking them who they were. AGA, a firm then I got AG Associates but nothing more. I asked who I was speaking to, I got Michelle Willis then I asked again about the firm and I she was flustered and said, "like I said before. I am not going to play games with you'. I got upset and yell, "Well if you can't tell me who you are, don't call my damn phone again" and hung up.
So I pretty much think its a scam disguised by some pretty ostentatiously gracious women who can be pushed to the brink. They don't want to give you any information but want yours in return. I plan on filing a complaint against them.
