I picked up the phone and the lady at the other end said:
"Oh, hi, I didn't think anyone was there. This is Emily. I had a little trouble with my headset there. I'm calling because you stayed in one of our resorts in the past and I'd like to offer you a trip to the Bahamas..."
I asked what company she was with and the voice kept going. I asked again and no response, so this is obviously a robocall.
I pressed 1, then 0, then 9, then pound to be connected with an operator and nothing happened. The voice kept going on about how she just had to ask me a few more questions *then* she would connect me with an operator. I hung up instead of waiting.
They claim you stayed in one of their resorts before, but they don't mention which one or when. They obviously don't have this information, which means they're starting the call by lying. Actually, they're starting the call by using an illegal automated robo-dialer, but you know what I mean.
They called my cell phone, which is on the FTC and State of FL Do Not Call List.
