This is an Orlando prefix. Its a collection firm or law office from Fort Lauderdale calling. Law office of H***** ***** They must somehow be able to route calls through different locations to hunt people down. Have you ever heard of a chain collection company? Imagine if they put all their energy to good use and actually helped humanity instead of kicking someone while they're down, often time through no fault of their own?
These knuckleheads keep calling even after I told them I have no money with which to pay my supposed "debt". Problem is, I actually have delinquent accounts, just not with whom they say I do (I've never had an account with Maryland National Bank). I've been informed these bottom feeders can buy someone's old debt for pennies on the dollar (mines supposed to be more than $6,700) and will do anything to collect.
They've even gone as far as calling the phone company, misrepresenting themselves as the individual they're trying to collect from and asked for the phone service to be disconnected (like, "hi, this is Dan Smith and I'd like my phone service disconnected").
I got a phone call from this Law Firm saying I owed them money. Evidently an out-of-touch-with-reality collection agency. I filed bankruptcy on this debt and have already been released of any further obligations. They are tip-toeing on the edge of a lawsuit from me...
I received a call today at my job from someone stating he is from the Law of H Scherr, claiming there had been a judgement against me. When I pressed them for details, they had a different social security number and wrong birthday.
I would be very wary of this outfit. Identity theft? Fishing for collections rewards?
