I've gotten about 3 calls from this number in the last 2 days, including at about 1:15pm on Sunday - I didn't answer any of them, as the number seems odd. They have left no mesages so far. Today I got curious so I called back - the call did not go through. I googled the "number" and came up with several hits for an Odyssey Enterprises, Inc. in San Jose, CA. I don't know what that means though, as the number doesn't seem valid.
This number has called me five times in the last three days, starting on a Friday afternoon and through the weekend. It's not a social services agency because I am not on any social support program, and I haven't been terminated from my job recently, so it's clearly not that. They have left a couple of 2-second voicemails which sounds like a person realizing it's voicemail and hanging up. It just seems like a scam, so I'm going to continue to ignore the calls. If you do answer, don't give them any of your personal information. If it was important, they'd leave a message with a valid contact number.
So I got a call from 1(408)000-0000 today and the message states that they mailed a packet to me and if I didn't return it then my benefit will terminate? Don't know what that means, what benefits? Can anyone help, please.
I got a phone call from them today as well, and the recording said my first and last name. I think Odyssey Enterprises might be a company that Social Services hires to remind you about you EBT SNAP? Either that, or the phone number has nothing to do with Odyssey.
I really am on food benefits, as unfortunately almost anyone who makes minimum wage in Santa Clara County cannot afford to buy food after paying their rent. Most Seniors -I am very close in age- cannot afford to buy food after paying their rent with their Social Security benefits. So next time you see someone using their EBT card don't judge. Not saying that any of you are, but I know I always wondered why some of the people didn't just get a job. Now I know a lot of them like me do actually work.
got the call a couple of days ago which i hung up on as I thought it's a scam. got it 2nd time today and this time i heard my relative's name who was supposed to send the redetermination packets for continuous benefit of Medi-Cal. well, it's a real reminder call, but the number seems fake.
