They've called my home 8 times! Because it is an odd number for the 408 area code, my AT&T call blocking won't let me add it to my list. On the few occasions when I have answered, I've asked them to stop calling and they just hang up on me. HELP!!!
They call themselves "Name Not Found". Nice title. They occasionally call and never leave a message. They are around the Gilroy, CA area, the southern part of Santa Clara County. They are now on my block list. Goodbye No Found Name.
We received a call this morning from 1-408-147-8522. The # on the caller ID seemed odd but my wife answered anyway. When she answered, a male voice greeted her by her full name. Our number is unlisted, but in my name only. How could he know her name? He then asked her if we had any "odd jobs" we needed to have done around our home. She told him "No, we did not". He said "Thank you" and hung up. The 147- prefix seemed strange. His solicitation was a little odd. And how did he know my wife's name? The entire call was very odd. If anyone can give some information on this phone number or the caller, I would certainly appreciate a reply.
I forward my home # to Google Voice. If I get a lot of spam/unwanted calls I can block them and have a message play that the # they are calling is disconnected. My home line rings quickly once when it's forwarded.
Google Voice is free (best price) and is beginning to drastically reduce the # of spam/junk/nonsense calls that I receive.
That was probably a telemarketing, a very rude one. He said that he is Larry and he wanted to talk to my husband. When I said that he needs to introduce himself, he become aggravated, stating that he is going to call to my husbands' cellphone, and when my husband was giving him a phone number he doesn't want me to play "who are you?" game with him.
I just hang up on him, and he never called my husband on his cell-phone, and my husband never had given his home number to a person named Larry.
So this number belongs to Larry the liar, a telemarketer.
from "Name Not Found" -- I heard a 'Hello' in a rather gruff tone as i put the handset on the base - no one said anything until then - the '147' prefix seems like a phony one.
