I get daily calls from this bogus number every single day, but I never answer the phone and they do not leave a message. During the prior 2 months, I was getting 10-15 spam calls each day. I refuse to answer the phone unless I recognized the telephone number. It takes about 2 months for the spammers to stop calling after you never pick up the phone. 408-164-7558 is a persistent bug that won't stop calling.
Made the mistake of answering this one. I usually don't answer if I don't recognize the number or area code. But the area code was local so I picked up. Dead air, no one there. Getting really annoyed with these calls - I get 4 or 5 every day of dead air calls interspersed with calls from scam artists.
I've complained about this guy before. Already told him I don't want his services. He slams the receiver down, he called again from another # and when I told him, he slammed the phone down again.
Tonight something strange happened. A black person with dreadlocks and a clip board rang my doorbell after sunset and was standing out on my lawn away from my surveillance cameras. He claimed he was a solar energy company employee setting up appointments for an in home energy analysis. I told him I had already consulted with solar energy companies who had told me my home was not a good candidate for solar energy, due to its orientation and shade from a large pine tree. He insisted his company was different and then my telephone started ringing. I cut him short to answer the phone, closed, and locked the door on him. When I answered the phone it was this spoofed phone number on my caller ID and the lady on the phone claimed they were a remodeling company looking for work in my area. After I told her I was not interested, I started wondering if the two were not related. Had I not closed and locked my front door to answer the phone, I wondered if the person at the door might have entered and burglarized my home while I was busy on the phone. To further investigate I checked my surveillance recording during the time of this episode to see if I had recorded him when he rang my bell. There was no picture of him ringing my doorbell, although there were two recordings of my front door motion light going on at the time and me talking to someone out on my lawn. How he was able to ring my doorbell without being recorded I do not know.
