Sounds like a total scam. Called at 1:49 p.m. PDT today with caller ID "Bright Horizons" and actually left an (automated) message (!). ("If you have been thinking about donating your car, real estate, or time share to charity, please consider donating to Veterans of America. Donations are itemized tax deductible . . . so call us today at 1-800-669-0250." I don't think just plain Veterans of America is a real charity (can't find it); I think it's one of those fake places that sounds like a sincere cause but isn't.
