Got a call from Roger Young earlier today, No idea who he is or why he is calling me but what I gather from reading the above is it is obviously debt collection. Sounded like a prerecoded message. It started in the middle and repeated twice. Stated he has an urgent pending matter that needs my immediate attention. I have received nothing in the mail from this company and have lived at the same address for several years so have no idea why they are contacting me by phone rather then mail. Should they contact me by mail I would respond with a request for them to prove validity of whatever they are trying to collect on as well as ownsership of that debt.
This guy called a number I don't share with anyone and left a request for me to call him and only identified himself as "Mike at Bridgeport Financial and he wanted to talk to me regarding a medical matter". I called and supposedly he was on another line and the female receptionist was very rude. She insisted on a call-back-number and never asked who was calling him. Be careful.
Looks like this company is spoofing their number. I also got a call from 408-295-0785. Same people. Don't they know that some people might not keep their same number for long, and someone else might get it?
This number called me 3 times within 2 hours. I never picked up my phone, because I did not recognize the number. Good to know you all had bad experiences. If I have time, I might play with them. Start to mess up them. To see what happens. I did this once with different company calls. They never called me back again. You can say something that was not related their calls. That will confuse them.
