408-320-5461 with call ID "Unknown Name" rang at 9:39 a.m. No mssg left. I believe these scammers use local area codes,
so you think it's somebody you want to talk to! It never ever ends.
Good luck! The FTC has taken action on about 100 cases in the last 10 years. That would roughly work out to one action for every 1 billion of these annoying calls. I check web sites like this one out of curiosity. I don't bother filing a complaint. I wonder if the 100 enforcement actions were taken against folks who unknowingly called the residence phones of Federal agents. Tell somebody who cares, right?
Called on 7/3/14 and left no message. This is 16th call from this number. I called back and got message about "sincere apologies", "however we do represent a non-profit and do not respond to national 'do not call' lists. We are asking only a $40 donation" [at no time did they identify which not-for-profit, so they are Unknown]. "If you wish to leave a 'do-not-call' request we will honor it if you will leave a message with your name and number." I left my first name and number and specifically requested they never call again. I got called within 5 minutes from their number, which I have blocked.
