Got a text message from the same number regarding a post I put on craigslist, and was also prompted to install gimp. I had no idea it wasn't the official site as I never use GIMP because I don't understand it... and person does not respond. Don't know about a trojan yet, scanning currently. Not sure why they would respond to an ad I posted in Maine if the number is from Cali though, not like we can trade the items in person....
sent photos in response to a craigslist ad - the photos were an odd format and were prompting to download a GIMP photo viewer - but not from the official page. My virus software alerted to a trojan so i aborted it.

Here is an interesting update to the message a moment ago. I just went to text the person back, and it's now telling me it is an invalid address! So whatever scam he was working on, he deleted or deactivated the number somehow... nice scam artist!
