Called on my office number. He wanted to sell remodeling services. I said this was my business line. He said he didn't understand what I'd said. I said THIS IS MY OFFICE. He said I'll come over there and put a hose down your throat if you scream at me like that again. I hung up.
The caller left no message and I do not recognize the phone number. I assume this was a robocall from a scammer / spammer / telemarketer.
I have blocked the number from my phone ... just to make myself feel as though I'm actually doing something to stem the tide of robocalls that I receive.
The caller is part of a criminal operation.
His boss probably talks that way to people when he handles solicitations.
They consider what you said to be backtalk, and how dare you challenge them.
Received call, they said they were "licensed contractors", I mentioned I was surprised they were licensed if they called without checking the DNCL. He then became verbally abusive.
