This caller claims to be an IRS division and is reportedly seeking to collect back taxes with threats of arrest and other action if payment is not immediately made.
I got a call from 408 351 6925 on Thursday. I call back the numbers was already disconnected. It a scam IRS will never call and threaten you of taking legal action against you. The IRS will send you a letter so watch out for the scam guy.
Called me at 7:14am ET, claimed to be from the IRS and wants to talk to my son immediately. Gentleman has a very heavy accent. I asked him if it is urgent and he said yes. I asked him why so early in the morning and he said because it is very urgent. I smelled a rat when he told me his name is Chris Brown but when my son calls back ask for Kevin Petterson. He was not polite at all. Anyone working with the US Government must have proper manners. He was very rude and seem to be in a rush. That is NOT how someone from the IRS would behave. He gave me a case number too. I realize the IRS does not call anyone, they send letters in the mail in the IRS envelopes. Do not call these people back.
I have an answering machine just for this kind of people. I only answer when I hear a familiar voice. If the caller has a genuine reason to call, he/she will leave a message and I will return the call. In this case the MISERABLE woman called and left a message for my daughter pretending to be from IRS. Since I know my daughter does not owe anything to IRS, I got suspicious and searched to find out this is one more crook in our world.

I got a call at 630 am EST this am from a bloody scam artist stating he was from IRS. I smelt a rotten rat and told him I had afeeling he was a crook, not IRS> HE started threatening stating he would send the cops to arrest me. I told him I was in the process of calling the cops to get him, he started using foul language and then hung up abruptly.
