Same here. Knew my name and town I'm in.
Gave his name as "Bob Roberts". (Right! And I'm Pope Goezdeveezil).
He's "working in the area" and offering some "terrific discounts on construction work".
I asked where in the area he's working, he gave "Poppy Seed Road" which (a) there is no such street within about 50 miles and (b) sounds like a euphemism for an opiate addict.
I got him riled and talking for quite a while by suggesting that he must be a scammer because he's calling numbers on the Do Not Call list; he gave me an earful about how little that matters to him.
Eventually, we got tired of each other and hung up.
The number, of course, is spoofed. No idea where he's calling from. His accent, though, sounded mildly like New Orleans, if that's any help.
Oh, and I didn't get far enough into things to get a clue as to just what the scam is...
