So I got a call from this number on 9/19 or around that date. I answered it because it was from "Morgan Hill" and I thought it was a call about a job I applied to in Morgan Hill. Anyways it was someone calling to say that I was entered into a sweepstakes. My mistake was not saying "sorry not interested" and not hanging up. I continued to talk and the lady was really nice and sweet. She was asking me some questions (nothing personal) and I did answer them. After talking for about 10 minutes, she told me that she will give the phone to her manager and he will ask how she was and verify some information so they can send my "free" gift. So I talk to the manager (unfortunately I did not hear what his name was and didn't get a chance to ask his name again) and he asked me how his employee was and I told him that she was very nice. So he then verifies with me that I will be getting 4 magazines and 3 of them are FREE and one of them I will have to pay. I then said "wait, I don't want to pay so just send me the 3 free ones" well apparently I misunderstood the lady who told me about the free magazines. In order for me to get 3 free magazines, I have to pay for the 4th one. So I told him, "Okay can I just opt out of this offer because right now I do not have a job and I don't have any money to pay for it" so to make a long story short he had the NERVE to say "Well, it's only $4.99 a week and you're not going to be unemployed forever right?" Um HELLO? $4.99 a week may not be a lot to some people but for those who don't have a job, that's a lot. That's like $20 a month. Why should I waste $20 a month on a magazine that I won't even read?? I wanted to say "you know what? if you're going to force me into getting this offer then I am going to hang up on you" but when I said "No, I don't want to pay for it" he either hung up or we got disconnected. What a total JERK he was and so UNPROFESSIONAL for a supervisor.
