I received a voicemail yesterday saying it's the irs and I called right away just some guy who could barely speak English and was like your going to have a lawsuit against from irs and your gonna spend time in jail if you don't owe this money and that you need to go to the nearest Kroger or cvs and get some kind of card because that the only way that the Irs will take the money you owe them and if you don't want help then hang up and I said well this is funny because this is the first j have heard about this and this guy started getting pissed and he hung up on me
Received a call from this number ("San Jose, CA") today. I know these are typically robo callers or scammers, therefore I didn't answer. A voicemail was left "The IRS is filing a lawsuit against you..." blah, blah, blah. The IRS does not call people. The number is now blocked!
Had message from this number. Seemed suspicious because the US Gov. does all official business via US Mail. Returned call and was told I was being sued for 2008-2015, ha, I had already dealt with the IRS for 2013 & 2014. Asked why I received no notification via mail and was placed on hold and hung up on.
