Called my cell at 9 A.M., 6 A.M PST. Russainish accented man answered when I called back, "United States Treasury Department." That's a crime in itself, before they even start their scam.
This is one of those idiots trying to sucker people who have been asleep for the last 10 years into giving them sensitive data. Have some fun, call them back and see how long you can keep them on the phone. Make a game out of it. I called back and gave him the same name as they did in the recorded message from the original call, Steve Martin. The guy chuckled as soon as I said it. Be creative... ask where he is calling from, what he is wearing, who the Secretary of the Treasury is (his boss). Good time. What a bunch of idiots.
Definite scam; they call from a new number daily threatening jail time on account of some nonsensical "execution" by the US Dept. of Treasury. Today, they told me they were calling from 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue in DC. Can't wait for the next installment with a new ghosted number....
