Same here. I received a call from this number and no one spoke. When I called the number back, there was just dead silence. Very suspicious, because I did`nt even get a ring tone on their end.
If you have caller ID and you see this number come up, don`t even answer your phone.
408-430-0296 has all the scent of a scam job and a phishing expedition trying to obtain your personal information.
I mean who calls a number and no one speaks on their end? Then you call back and don`t even get a ring tone?
These scumbags lurk in the dark, yet they think they are so clever. lol
The caller said he represented the fireman and police orphan's fund and wanted donations to their organization. He transferred me to another person to get my name and my credit card number. At that point I told him to send me a statement because I prefer to pay by check. He abruptly hung up. Definately a scam. BEWARE!
