Phone rang at office desk - I never answer unrecognized number and always look up the number - like this.
As expected, no message was left on voice mail. I think even picking up the phone may be risky. While you might be tempted to answer and yell at them, better they have the frustration of getting no answers.
I originally saw the origin of this phone call from San Jose, CA so I picked up and hung up. They didn't get the hint and called right back. Asked for an employee who doesn't work here any more. I told them that and I hung up.
Caller had a thick accent and I could hear the loud call center noises in the background. He claimed to be ISS Research. This is yet another spoofed number from a group of scammiers trying to get information for their database, to turn around and sell to more idiots marketing their crap. They have claimed to be USPS, DHL, FedEx, UPS, as well as a load of other names. They have lists of names of our employees and are looking for titles, emails, addresses and anything else they can get. I just tell them the person they are asking for is no longer here. They try to argue but I hang up on them. However, it doesn't help. They keep calling everyday, all day!
