I received a call from 408-453-3009 on 08/20/12 at 6:47 pm pdt, I didn't pick up. No message was left. I never pick up any phone calls that I do not know. I'm not sure who this number is. I do not intend to return the call. My number is listed on DoNotCall.gov.
I was watching television when the phone rang. When the answering machine came on, they hung up and called again. Same thing. They hung up again. Called three times in a row without a message.
If they don't have the guts to tell me who they are, then I won't give them the same courtesy. Does anyone know who these people are?
"Hi this is [some common name] my call is a bit time sensitive so I would appreciate if you could give me a call back before 6:30 tonight. My number is 408-971-3000."
A few notes:
1) Call came from a different phone number (808-447-5936) than the call back number
2) Call is from someone I never heard before
3) Caller doesn't say which company she's calling from or what's the purpose of the call
4) Some web sleuthing indicated it is one of those pushy recruiting companies.
