Cell phone made 1/2 a ring. About 10 seconds later it rang again from this same number. Even though I'm also in the 408 area code, I didn't answer it but quickly Googled the number and ended up here. No voicemail left.
Yep.... I just had the same thing happen on 7/22/15 @ 10:45...quick ring; 10 secs later a second ring... blocking this number. I'm using an app called TrueCaller
Not a bogus number, strictly speaking. I called it back and got a recording consistent with the pitch: Heating/AC maintenance. Not that the genuine number makes the calls legal. It doesn't.
