One of the many "California Calls"---this time the caller ID showed only "California." Very likely the same I-D-10-T scammer with hundreds of numbers. We NEVER answer unknown calls; if the call is important and valid, the caller would leave a message. Some scammers also leave, but one can recognize those messages to be anything but valid.
Just called me. He asked for me by name, but didn't realize that he had me on the phone for a little go round. Finally told me that he was from a home improvement company in Morgan Hill and he was looking to see if I wanted an estimate. His sales pitch was the worst ever. I started to tell him that once he learned how to make a cold call I might consider (not really, we are DIYers) and he hung up on me. Didn't even get the part where we are on the Do Not Call Registry. Never said the name of the company even after I said I didn't know who he was.
