They call from a variety of numbers using area code (408) 408-438-1054 408-471-8914. Also possibly this number: 408-649-5607, 408-678-9000 202 864 0297 408-865-9464 408-865-9415 Some sort of generalized scam.

Call said from the sheriff department, I had failed to respond to a grand jury request to serve. There is a warrant for my arrest. They would take care of it, but I need to meet with the assistant district attorney on may 31 at 2 pm. I need to may a payment of 5,500. which would be refunded to me the same day. At that point I new it was a scam. They said they would come by my home with the police car, and I should not leave my home. pg
Contact your law law enforcement and tell them about this scam. Print out a copy of this thread. Bring it with you and make a complaint in person. Also notify your local district attorney.
