Caller named Jason said he was calling from Microsoft and that my computer had been hacked.  My computer had incidentally been hacked with an extortion virus from The Department of Homeland Security (ha ha ha) the day before.  I fixed the hack job with PC Matic, which removed the remote access malware that had been installed on my computer.  This guy assured me that he would fix my computer by remote access very quickly.  I said that my computer was at home and that I had already fixed it.  He wanted to know how I did it, so I told him an IT tech from the DoD fixed it as it was used for my military job.  The guy didn't skip a beat and kept trying to convince me to give him my computer password because he wanted to "make sure it was fixed".  I had to hang up because he just wouldn't admit defeat, and I couldn't keep from laughing.  I knew it was a scam from the get go, but this guy was really dedicated to his mission to extort money.
