Caller insisted he was from Oracle and demanded to speak to someone in a department that by policy:
a) cannot accept in-coming calls as it interrupts our company's natural flow of business in our customer service groups
b) cannot make business decisions regarding Oracle
Also refused the monitored voice mail
Called first, but didn't say anything, so I hung up. They called back and wildly mispronounced my coworker's name so i put him on hold and googled him, came here and hung up on him.
Called where I work, asking for an employee. When I told them they didn't have a transfer number, they started asking a ton of questions about this person (which I did not answer). Kept trying to get me to transfer their call, and I kept saying I was unable to. They finally hung up, but called back about 20 minutes later to try the same thing with a non-existent employee, and demanded I look in our directory. I hung up.
I received a call from this number asking to speak with the Director of Sales (he asked for the DOS by name). I transferred the call. A few minutes later, a different number rang through and it was the same individual asking for another DOS by name. When the third call came through from a different number I stopped answering the calls. The calls kept coming and would not stop. There were three numbers ringing through: 408-520-9388, 606-259-4052, 530-603-1918. They kept repeating in that order. I finally picked up the phone, told him I could not transfer him, and asked him to stop calling this number. He hung up and has not called back.
