I was late 30 days due to an illness and they wouldn't let me get a word in. I had already paid off the late fee as well as the balance. They had no need to contact me after the fact. [***] them dont do business with this company
Credit One has called me three times so far today (Sunday 10-26-14 9:53 am, 12:48 pm and 2:26 pm.) Each time they call I have to say hello at least 3 times before a person responds, and each time I tell them to call my lawyer not me. The last time they called I threatened to file harassment charges against them if they continued to call me. I am in the process of filing bankruptcy due to an unforeseen loss of about 1/3 of my income, and have explained this to Credit One already on far more than one occasion. They are fully aware that they are to call my lawyer, not me. The final payment to the lawyer will be made this week, and he will file the paperwork in November. These people also harassed me about 2 years ago when my Father was dying of cancer and I was behind on one payment. The entire thing was paid off before the next payment was even due, but they were EXTREMELY rude, told me to borrow from my parents and friends, etc etc. They all have obvious accents from the Middle East (India and surrounding countries). Based on their pattern so far today, I am expecting to get at least three more calls before I go to bed tonight. I truly believe this is harassment because I have talked to them each time they call, and explained the same thing every time. My response is not going to change, so either they are harassing me, or they are insane since the definition of insanity is when you do the same thing repeatedly expecting a different outcome.
