A man with a foreign accent called my work line and asked for me by name (first and last). I told him that was me and he said his name was Mike and his boss Garret Queen wanted to speak with me. I asked what it was regarding and he said "Business opportunities". I said, "You can't give me any more info than that?" He said his boss would give me further information. I said let me talk to him and then he hung up. I have a feeling they were recording my voice to use fraudulently somewhere else. Be careful what you say. Don't talk to them.
Have been called twice in 2 weeks - "DiR Asst - CA" is what the caller ID says. Just some background noise and hangs up quickly after I answer. What is going on with this new scam? The 555 exchange is not supposed to be used by other than Directory assistance, but this is something very weird. Anybody have more info? I have not said anything but Hello and my first name.
This is some sales gimmick. It is highly annoying as they keep calling my work place and ask for miscellaneous employees of our company. They must call our company line 3 times a day.
Either sales or fraud.
