JPHI - THANK YOU SO MUCH for the information on Digitcom..
Apparently they sell/service these "spoof #'s". They asked for the spoof # and my home number, and said that they will contact their client to ensure that I'm taken off their list. And then they gave me a case #. They said that if it happens again then I can call back with the case # and revoke their access. Additionally, they even invited me to call back again if a different number shows up and they can tell me if its one of their clients or one of their competitors so that I can follow-up with them. I don't know how effective this complaint will be but I figure its a start.
However, next time I get these people on the phone, I am going to play along and waste as much as their time as possible. I figure if I can't stop them then why not keep them on the line so that they can't scam someone else.
Listened to recording (was for credit cards this time). waited for rep. asked what company they were representing and he said "Card Services". I asked him why they called me and he hung up.
